For this assignment I was tasked with recreating a scene from a book. The excerpted I selected described tunnels and rows of embryos in tubes being conditioned like parts on an assembly line.

For this design, I wanted to imagine the laboratory as the author would in the mid 1900s. This means that I referenced 1930s architecture and factories for my concept. This is similar to how the look of space movies from the last century have that older look to them despite taking place in the future.

The text specifically mentions using various types of technology to condition these tube grown fetuses. Old inventions like a first generation x-ray machine were referenced and added to the designs.
